Hey there,

I found this is a documented problem with this year vert on Camaro5.com, however, I wanted to ask the club their thoughts. Under my front vents the leather is delaminating (or bubbling) up with a nice air bubble. From my research it seems this will only get worse as heat and summer comes along. Koons wants to replace my entire dash which the guys on the Camaro5 forum VEHEMENTLY tell me to not let them do that at all costs. That it can only lead to misery down the line.

What do you guys think? Apparently there is a little known part code for just the leather insert that could be ordered and save having to get the whole dash. But Koons won't listen to me.

Lemme know what y'all think.

And I was looking forward to finally making it to a Saturday meeting only to see it's now Wednesdays! DANG! I'll try for this month...

Thanks!
Kristy

Kristy,

Wow! Sounds like a nasty problem. I just forwarded your post to my dealer, Tom Henry in PA. Will let you know if he has seen this problem or not.

I care a lot about this issue, since I am picking up a new 2013 vert next month!

Best,

John

Response from Tom Henry:

"We have not seen one incident. I also would be reluctant to replace a dash."
